To receive the mail-in cash rebate, you must have installed your thermostats, downloaded the Neviweb app and activated the Éco Sinopé feature using the activation code received by Hydro-Québec within 45 days of purchase.
Once this has been done, Hydro-Québec is automatically notified and can proceed with the refund.
Please allow approximately 5 weeks for the mail-in rebate to be issued and sent once the process has been completed.

To join the pilot project and receive your activation code, go to the Hydro-Québec website.
The activation code is emailed to you by Hydro-Québec when you apply for the pilot project directly on their site. It will also appear on your bill when you place your order.
If you cannot find your code, we invite you to contact the Hydro-Québec support team directly at the following number:

The pilot project registration period ends on December 15, 2023. You have until January 15, 2024 to place your order using the activation code provided by Hydro-Québec.
Hydro-Québec will no longer generate activation codes after December 15, 2023.
When you sign up for Éco Sinopé, you will first be asked to select the dynamic pricing program in which you are enrolled. Next, you’ll need to indicate whether or not you’ve received an activation code from Hydro-Québec to participate in the smart thermostat pilot project.
You’ll need to check Yes to be able to enter your information related to the pilot project, i.e. the e-mail address you used to register for the project and the activation code you received.
Once you’ve entered this information, click on Continue and you’ll be able to personalize your Éco Sinopé profile.
Note: If you indicate that you did not receive an activation code from Hydro-Québec to participate in the smart thermostat pilot project, and you do not enter the code you received, you will not receive your mail-in rebate.
Here are the Sinopé products eligible for financial assistance as part of the pilot project:
Zigbee smart thermostat for electric heating – 3000 W (TH1123ZB)
Zigbee smart thermostat for electric heating – 4000 W (TH1124ZB)
Wi-Fi smart thermostat for electric heating – 3000 W (TH1123WF)
Wi-Fi smart thermostat for electric heating – 4000 W (TH1124WF)
Zigbee Gateway (GT130)
Sinopé is also offering a 10% discount on its Calypso Zigbee smart water heater controller (RM3500ZB). This rebate is not part of the financial assistance offer.
The installation of thermostats is not included or financed in the pilot project. For further information, please refer to the terms and conditions of the project.
Follow these steps to register for Éco Sinopé on the Neviweb app.
You must have installed your thermostats and activated the Éco Sinopé feature within 45 days of purchase to receive your mail-in rebate.
You can participate in the pilot project even if you already own Sinopé thermostats, as long as you add a minimum of 5 to your home. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Go to the Hydro-Québec website to register for the pilot project and fill in the form.
2. Once you’ve qualified and obtained your code, purchase a minimum of 5 smart thermostats for electric heating in the pilot project boutique.
3. Once your thermostats are installed, unsubscribe from Éco Sinopé.
4. Subscribe to Éco Sinopé again by selecting your dynamic pricing program and entering the activation code provided by Hydro-Québec.
5. Create your new profile, then add the same number of thermostats to Éco Sinopé as you purchased.
Once the process is complete, you’ll be eligible to receive the mail-in rebate within 5 weeks.
