The battery life of the WL4200, WL4200S, WL4210S*, WL4200C and WL4210C* water leak detectors depends on the system to which they are connected and the type of batteries used.

The Sinopé water leak detector comes with 2 AAA lithium batteries** that can last for up to 10 years in regular use when paired with the VA4220WF valve.

*The WL4210S and WL4210C water leak detectors are only compatible with the 2nd generation Sedna valves and the Zigbee gateways such as our GT130 hub.

**Note that lithium batteries are preferred because they not only have a longer life, but also because they are not likely to leak like alkaline batteries, which can ultimately damage the device.
