The different modes of your thermostat
The different modes of your thermostat
for Wi-Fi and Mi-Wi protocols
Most Wi-Fi and Mi-Wi thermostats offer 4 different modes.
Automatic
The automatic mode available with Wi-Fi and Mi-Wi devices allows the device to automatically change the set temperature or state according to the programmed schedule.
If the setting or state of a device is changed during the execution of a schedule, the program will be temporarily overridden (temporary auto-over). The program will revert to the established schedule during the next programmed period.
Wi-Fi and Mi-Wi devices must be in automatic mode for programmed schedules to run.
Manual
Manual mode allows you to control the room temperature manually via the Neviweb app or the device itself. Once the setpoint is changed, it will remain the same until the user changes it again.
Furthermore, this mode disables schedule execution, leaving only manual control. If you have schedules and are in manual mode, be sure to switch to automatic mode for your programs to be triggered.
Stop
The off mode puts the thermostat into standby mode when it is no longer needed, for example, during the summer. When the thermostat is in off mode, the heating will not turn on, regardless of the ambient temperature. The thermostat will only display the time and the ambient temperature.
Frost protection (Mi-Wi only)
The frost protection mode changes the set temperature to the minimum set point you previously selected.
Note: Operating instructions differ depending on the type of thermostat.
Zigbee protocol
Zigbee thermostats offer 2 different modes.
Heating
The Heating mode available with Zigbee devices allows you to activate the heating devices to which they are linked and adjust the desired setpoint temperature at any time.
Zigbee devices must be in Heating mode for programmed automations to run.
Stop
The Off mode puts the thermostat into standby mode when it is no longer needed, for example, during the summer. When the thermostat is in Off mode, the heating will not turn on, regardless of the ambient temperature. The thermostat will only display the time and the ambient temperature.
Note that automations will not run when the thermostat is in Off mode.
