Which devices can be connected to the auxiliary output of the floor thermostat?
The auxiliary output of the floor heating thermostat allows connecting a TR1310 expansion module to manage a load exceeding 15 A or a relay controlling an additional heating system (electric baseboard, convector, fan coil unit). This system activates when the floor temperature reaches its limit but the ambient temperature is not yet reached.
The auxiliary output of the floor heating thermostat allows connecting certain devices to increase heating capacity or add a supplementary heating system.
TR1310 Expansion Module
The auxiliary output can be used to connect a TR1310 expansion module. This module allows controlling a floor heating system with a load exceeding 15 A.
Additional Heating System
It is also possible to connect a relay to the auxiliary output to control an additional heating system, for example:
- an electric baseboard
- a convector
- a fan coil unit
When the floor temperature reaches its limit and the desired ambient temperature has not yet been reached, the auxiliary output activates this heating system to help reach the setpoint.
Note: It is strongly recommended to hire a qualified electrician for the installation of a relay.
