What is the difference between the DM2500ZB dimmer and the DM2550ZB adaptive phase dimmer?

The DM2550ZB smart dimmer uses MOSFET technology with adaptive phase control, offering broad compatibility (dimmable LED, incandescent, halogen, ELV), reducing flicker and noise, and improving stability. It offers two dimming modes (forward and reverse phase), adjustable via the Sinopé Neviweb app. The DM2500ZB, on the other hand, uses TRIAC technology.

The DM2500ZB intelligent dimmer uses TRIAC control technology , while the DM2550ZB adaptive phase intelligent dimmer relies on MOSFET control technology .

Thanks to this technology, the DM2550ZB offers expanded compatibility with several types of lighting, including:

  • dimmable LED bulbs
  • incandescent lighting
  • halogen lighting
  • low-voltage electronic transformers (ELV)

The adaptive phase dimmer also allows:

  • to reduce flickering and noise (crackling)
  • to improve stability and gradation range

This is made possible by its ability to operate in reverse phase and its MOSFET switching.

In addition, the DM2550ZB offers two dimming modes for better compatibility with different types of lighting:

  • direct phase gradation
  • reverse phase gradation

The dimming mode change is done directly in the Sinopé Neviweb application.
