What is the maximum distance between the gateway and smart devices?
Sinopé devices use a mesh network where each device relays the signal to extend the range, which depends on the number of devices, the distance (maximum recommended 18 m), and the environment. For long distances, intermediate devices or an additional gateway may be required. Obstacles and interference can affect the range.
Sinopé devices use a mesh network , which means that each device can relay the signal and thus extend the network’s range.
The range therefore depends on:
- the number of devices installed;
- the distance between them;
- of the environment (walls, interference, etc.).
For optimal operation, we recommend maintaining a maximum distance of approximately 18 m (60 ft) between each device.
Special cases
If the distance between two areas is significant (e.g., a house and a detached garage), it may be necessary to:
- to add intermediate devices to relay the signal
- or to install an additional gateway
