Why should I add lithium batteries to my valve?

The addition of lithium batteries allows the smart water valve to operate for up to 24 hours in the event of a power outage, automatically shutting off in the event of a leak. Battery life can reach up to 48 hours when using both batteries and the backup power supply.

The addition of lithium batteries allows the smart water valve to continue to function in the event of a power outage.

With batteries installed:

  • the valve can remain functional for a period of up to 24 hours* ;
  • It can automatically shut off the water supply if a leak is detected by a sensor.

*Battery life can last up to 48 hours if the valve includes batteries AND is connected to an ACUPS (Automatic Current Protection System). For the Zigbee valve, the GT130 gateway must also be connected to an ACUPS.

No batteries required:

  • The valve will not be able to function properly during a power outage if it does not have a backup power supply.

Why use lithium batteries?

Lithium batteries:

  • They do not leak , unlike alkaline batteries;
  • reduce the risk of damaging the valve.
