Why does the Eco Sinopé (DR) mode remain in effect after Hydro-Québec's peak event is over?
It is possible that your devices will remain in DR (Eco Sinopé) mode for a while after the peak event has ended, as the return to “normal” mode is done gradually and randomly among all devices registered for the feature, in order to protect the electrical grid installations.
Furthermore, reactivating all participating devices at the same time could generate an energy spike at Hydro-Québec at the end of a peak event, which we are asked to avoid.
