The error message “The water leak detector’s sensor or perimeter cable is disconnected” appears in the app. How do I make it go away?

If the sensor or perimeter cable is disconnected, reconnect it to clear the error message. Otherwise, reset the detector by holding down the Link button until the red light flashes, then reconnect it to the valve by pressing the B (valve) and Link (detector) buttons until the light turns green. Affected models: WL4210, WL4210S, WL4210C.

If the sensor or perimeter cable has been accidentally disconnected, please reconnect it to the designated port on your water leak detector. The error message should then disappear.

If the sensor or perimeter cable has been intentionally disconnected and you do not wish to reconnect it, or if no sensor or perimeter cable has ever been connected and the error message still appears, please follow these steps:

1. Reset the detector:

  1. Hold down the Link button, then release it when the LED flashes red.

2. Reconnect the sensor to the valve:

  1. Remove the valve cover by unscrewing the 4 screws.
  2. Press button B on the valve for 1 second (the light will flash rapidly between “Open” and “Close”).
  3. Press and hold the Link button on the sensor for 1 second (the light will flash green; if it remains red, reset the device again).
  4. The green light will remain on when the sensor is connected to the valve.
  5. Screw the valve cover back on.
