What type of router is compatible with Sinopé Wi-Fi devices?

Sinopé Wi-Fi devices operate only on the 2.4 GHz band. The 5 GHz band is not compatible. For a dual-band router, the mobile device must be connected to the 2.4 GHz band and ensure that this band is enabled. If both bands share the same SSID, it may be necessary to separate them or force the connection to 2.4 GHz.

Sinopé Wi-Fi devices operate only on the 2.4 GHz band.

⚠️ The 5 GHz band is not compatible with Sinopé Wi-Fi devices.

Dual-band router (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz)

If you are using a dual-band router, make sure that:

  • Your mobile device is connected to the 2.4 GHz band during installation.

  • The 2.4 GHz band is enabled in the router settings.

Some routers combine both bands under the same network name (SSID). In this case, it may be necessary to:

  • Temporarily separate the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands

or

  • Force your mobile device to connect to the 2.4 GHz band during installation.
