The smart water valve can automatically shut off the supply in case of a leak without an internet connection, but without notifications or remote control. Local protection remains active via connected leak detectors, which also emit an audible alarm.

Yes. The smart water valve can automatically shut off the water supply when a leak is detected, even without an internet connection.

However, without an internet connection:

  • you will not receive any notifications (email, text* or mobile notification);
  • you will not be able to control the valve remotely via the app.


In this case, the protection remains active locally: the valve reacts directly to the connected leak detectors, which can also emit an audible alarm.

*Note: If you added your device to the Sinopé Neviweb app before December 15, 2021, you have access to SMS alerts. However, if you eventually decide to disable SMS alerts, there is no going back. You will therefore only receive push notifications and email alerts.
