Creating automations with Neviweb

With devices in the Zigbee range, it is possible to create four types of automations that run based on: time, sunrise/sunset, device action, and presence.

For Mi-Wi (Legacy) devices, only automation based on a device’s action is available. Programming is done using schedules defined for each device. The actions of the devices for the present/away mode are also defined in the device settings.

Create a time-based automation

Time automations can be used with Zigbee devices and scheduled via the Neviweb app. For Mi-Wi (Legacy) and Wi-Fi devices, you must set a schedule for each device.

To create a time automation, you need to:

  1. From the Dashboard or main menu, tap Automation .
  2. Tap + Create automation and choose Time as the trigger type.
  3. Fill in the required field for the automation name.
  4. Specify the time, the delay, and the days you want the automation to run. Note: You can add a presence condition to your automation if you wish. Here’s how to create automations with multiple conditions.
  5. Choose the devices you want to automate.
  6. Press Save .

sunrise/sunset

Sunrise/sunset automations can be used with Zigbee devices and programmed via the Neviweb application.

To create an automation based on sunrise/sunset, you need to:

  1. From the Dashboard or main menu, tap Automation .
  2. Tap + Create automation and choose Sunrise/Sunset as the trigger type.
  3. Fill in the required field for the automation name.
  4. Determine the time, the delay, and the days you want the automation to run.
  5. Choose the devices you want to automate.
  6. Tap Save

Create an automation based on a device's action

Device-based automations are activated through physical interaction with dimmers and switches. When you press one of the trigger devices, you can automate other devices to react and perform actions.

Note: Mi-Wi (Legacy) thermostats cannot be integrated into automations.

To create an automation based on a device's action, you must:

  1. From the Dashboard or main menu, tap Automation .
  2. Tap + Create an automation .
  3. Select Device as the trigger type in the case of Zigbee devices.
  4. Fill in the required field for the automation name.
  5. Determine the device that will trigger the action and what the action will be.
  6. Choose the devices you want to automate.
  7. Press Save .

Create an automation based on presence

Presence-based automations allow you to automate devices to turn on or off when you press the Present/Away status button located on the Neviweb Dashboard or when you enter or leave the perimeter you have established for geofencing.

For Wi-Fi and Mi-Wi devices, you need to configure the away status in each device’s settings.

To create an automation based on presence, you need to:

  1. From the Dashboard or main menu, tap Automation .
  2. Tap + Create an automation .
  3. Choose Presence as the trigger type.
  4. Fill in the required field for the automation name.
  5. Determine when automation will be activated
  6. Choose the devices you want to automate.
  7. Press Save .
