Creating automations with Neviweb

With the Zigbee line of devices, it is possible to create four types of automations that run based on time, sunrise/sunset, device action, and presence.

For Mi-Wi (Legacy) devices, only automation based on device action is available. Programming is carried out using schedules determined for each device. The device actions for the present / away mode are also determined in the device settings.

Creating automations based on time

Time automations can be used with Zigbee devices and programmed through the Neviweb app. For Mi-Wi (Legacy) and Wi-Fi devices, you need to set a schedule for each device.

To create time automations, you need to:

  1. From the Dashboard or main menu, tap Automation.
  2. Tap + Create an Automation and choose Time as the trigger type.
  3. Fill in the required field with the name of the automation.
  4. Determine when, how long, and on what days you want the automation to run. Note: You can add a presence condition to your automation if necessary. Here’s how to create automations with multiple conditions.
  5. Choose the devices you want to automate.
  6. Tap Save.

sunrise/sunset

Sunrise/sunset automations can be used with Zigbee devices and programmed through the Neviweb app.

To create automations based on sunrise/sunset, you need to :

  1. From the Dashboard or main menu, tap Automation.
  2. Tap + Create an Automation and opt for Sunrise / Sunset as the trigger type.
  3. Fill in the required field with the name of the automation.
  4. Determine when, how long, and on what days you want the automation to run.
  5. Choose the devices you want to automate.
  6. Tap Save

Creating automations based on device action

Device-driven automations are activated through physical interaction with dimmers and light switches. When you tap one of the trigger devices, you can automate other devices to react and execute actions.

Note: Mi-Wi (Legacy) thermostats cannot be integrated into automations.

To create an automation based on a device's action, you need to:

  1. From the Dashboard or main menu, tap Automation.
  2. Tap + Create and Automation.
  3. Choose Device as the trigger type for Zigbee devices.
  4. Fill in the required field with the name of the automation.
  5. Determine which device will trigger the action as well as the action.
  6. Choose the devices you want to automate.
  7. Tap Save.

Creating automations based on presence

Presence-based automations allow you to automate devices so that they turn on or off when you press the Home / Away status button on the Neviweb Dashboard or when you enter or exit the perimeter that you will have established for geofencing.

For Wi-Fi and Mi-Wi devices, you must configure the away status in the settings of each device.

To create presence-based automations, you need to:

  1. From the Dashboard or main menu, tap Automation.
  2. Tap + Create an Automation.
  3. Choose Presence as the trigger type.
  4. Fill in the required field with the name of the automation.
  5. Determine when automation will be activated
  6. Choose the devices you want to automate.
  7. Tap Save.
