Difference between TRIAC and relay switching

TRIAC switching allows operation in short cycles (15 seconds), which stabilize and maintains the temperature of the room. Devices that use this type of switching are silent.

Relay switching only uses long cycles (15 minutes) to allow the heater to effectively push warm air into the room when using a fan-forced convector, for example. This switching emits a sound when the relay is activated.
