Understanding the temperature
regulation modes (floor or ambient)

Since they are equipped with an output for controlling an auxiliary heating system, underfloor heating thermostats offer two temperature control modes, ambient mode and floor mode.

The ambient mode allows the control of the ambient temperature by the floor, taking into account the minimum and maximum temperature limits of the floor. Once the floor temperature has reached its limit, if the desired room temperature is not reached, the auxiliary output activates the heater to reach the setpoint. The auxiliary output acts as a second heating stage.

The floor mode allows the control of the floor temperature taking into account the maximum ambient temperature limit.

To select your control mode and set the maximum and minimum setpoint limits, you must:

  1. From the Dashboard, go to the All Devices page by tapping on the middle icon at the bottom of the app.
  2. Tap your heated floor thermostat, then click the settings icon .
  3. Determine the advanced settings of the device.
  4. Select Ambient or Floor control mode.

  5. Determine the temperature limits.
  6. Using the drop-down menu, select the minimum and maximum temperature limits. Save.
